Basketball Recap: Cole Mcgill's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Morgan over Sheridan

Morgan lost against Sheridan back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Morgan Raiders came up short against the Sheridan Generals, falling 67-41. The Raiders were down 51-29 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Morgan lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cole McGill, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Shriver, who posted 12 points.

Morgan dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Sheridan, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Morgan will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Tri-Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sheridan, they will head out to square off against River View at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sheridan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully River View likes a good challenge.
