Volleyball Recap: Anna Holladay Craft Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Oak Grove

Jackson Academy won the last time they faced Oak Grove and things went their way on Thursday too. The Raiders came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Jackson Academy easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-14.

Jackson Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anna Holladay Craft, who had 11 digs and two aces. Craft has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillie Henson, who had 13 assists and three digs.

Jackson Academy's win bumped their record up to 26-9-1. As for Oak Grove, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson Academy will welcome Madison-Ridgeland Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oak Grove, they will host Germantown at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
