Mountain Vista has won 13 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Regis Jesuit has won 13 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Mountain Vista Golden Eagles will welcome the Regis Jesuit Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Mountain Vista knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 matchups -- so hopefully Regis Jesuit likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, Mountain Vista beat Rock Canyon 82-69. The Golden Eagles pushed the score to 54-32 by the end of the third, a deficit the Jaguars cut but never quite recovered from.

Mountain Vista's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Cal Baskind, who went 8 for 16 en route to 20 points and five steals, and Oliver Junker, who went 8 of 9 on his way to 20 points and six boards. Baskind's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Wes Baskind was another key player, going 5 of 8 to rack up 11 points and seven rebounds.
Mountain Vista was working as a unit and finished the game with 27 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 21 assists in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Regis Jesuit was able to grind out a solid victory over Highlands Ranch on Friday, taking the game 82-69. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Falcons are ranked 96th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mountain Vista better focus on containing Lucas Dickinson and Eric Fiedler as the pair were huge in Regis Jesuit's win. Dickinson dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 boards, while Fiedler dropped a double-double on 31 points and 12 rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Fiedler now owns an excellent 45.4% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Michael Price, who posted eight points.
Regis Jesuit is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.6 points over those games. As for Mountain Vista, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Mountain Vista has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 36.7 boards per game. However, it's not like Regis Jesuit struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.5 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Mountain Vista beat Regis Jesuit 64-57 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Will Mountain Vista repeat their success, or does Regis Jesuit have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
