It was a good run, but Las Plumas unfortunately witnessed the end of their 18-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the McQueen Lancers by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Thunderbirds have suffered since April 20, 2024.

Kendal Headley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Las Plumas' defeat dropped their record down to 18-2. As for McQueen, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Coming up, Las Plumas will challenge Roseville at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Thunderbirds surely won't give up without a fight. As for McQueen, they will head out on the road to challenge Reed at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Lancers will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
