Football Game Preview: Raymond Rangers vs. Richland Rangers + Official Tickets

Raymond is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will challenge Richland at 7:00 p.m. Raymond hasn't scored more than eight points for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Raymond turned things around against Jim Hill on Friday. They snuck past the Tigers with a 6-2 victory.

Raymond didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Gavin Davis and Ahmad Anderson. Anderson is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 35 points the game before, Richland was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were beaten by Morton 51-7. The game marked the Rangers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Richland's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Raymond, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Raymond beat Richland 32-19 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Raymond since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
