Softball Recap: Conestoga Valley's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Solanco, Conestoga Valley was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lebanon Cedars an 11-0 shutout. The Buckskins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by seven runs or more this season.

With the win, Conestoga Valley broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-7. As for Lebanon, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conestoga Valley will head out to take on Elizabethtown at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lebanon, they will venture away from home to challenge Tulpehocken at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.22 runs per game on average), something the Cedars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
