Volleyball Recap: West Plains' Run of Six Straight Wins Now Over + How To Watch

After a string of six wins, West Plains's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Randall Raiders. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

West Plains' loss came despite strong showings from Idaly Sotelo and Bella Wineberg. Sotelo had 37 digs and five assists, while Wineberg had 12 assists and seven digs. Sotelo has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 15 times she's played. Ava Barksdale was another key player, getting eight digs.

West Plains' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 22-10. As for Randall, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-11.
