Basketball Game Preview: Ida Bluestreaks vs. Blissfield Royals

The Ida Bluestreaks will venture away from home to take on the Blissfield Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Blissfield took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Ida, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Ida narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Airport 54-52. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bluestreaks.

Meanwhile, Blissfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 70-46 to Lenawee Christian. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 328th, while the Cougars are ranked 134th).

Blissfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Ida, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season.

Ida came up short against Blissfield in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 68-62. Can Ida avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
