Soccer Game Preview: V.R. Eaton vs. Trinity

The V.R. Eaton Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Trinity Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

V.R. Eaton is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight matches on Tuesday. They lost 7-3 to Byron Nelson. While losing is never fun, V.R. Eaton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 476th, while Byron Nelson are ranked 21st).

V.R. Eaton hit Byron Nelson with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Tyler Raher, Sebastian Pena, and Ronhy Luvengoka.

Meanwhile, Trinity came up short against Keller on Tuesday, falling 5-1. Trinity have struggled against Keller recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

V.R. Eaton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Trinity, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9-3.

V.R. Eaton suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Trinity when the teams last played back in February. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
