Softball Recap: Crete Cardinals vs. Seward Bluejays

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northwest, Crete was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 9-3 margin over the Seward Bluejays. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won 12 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Ruby Van Horn was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Camry Draeger, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Crete is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. As for Seward, their loss dropped their record down to 16-10.

As of now, neither Crete nor Seward have any future games scheduled.
