Baseball Recap: Frankton Triumphs

Frankton won against Elwood on Thursday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Eagles beat the Eastbrook Panthers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-6. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Frankton let Brady Carmack and Caine Oakley run wild. Carmack went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Oakley went 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave Carmack a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jarrett Morris, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Frankton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Frankton now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Eastbrook, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-7.
