Soccer Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

Monticello fell victim to Star City and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 6-0. If Monticello were looking for revenge after losing 5-1 to Star City when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Monticello's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Star City, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monticello will head out to face off against Lisa Academy North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Star City, they will venture away from home to take on Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
