Crescenta Valley won the last time they faced Arcadia and Xavier Thompson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Falcons simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Apaches 56-20 thanks in part to Thompson, who rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Crescenta Valley is 4-1 when Thompson posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Crescenta Valley's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Leonidas Grant with two.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Crescenta Valley, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Thompson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Arcadia lost, don't look at Addison 'AJ' Pressnall. Despite the final result, he threw for 177 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 42 yards.

The victory made it two in a row for Crescenta Valley and bumps their season record up to 6-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.0 points over those games. As for Arcadia, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Crescenta Valley nor Arcadia have any future games scheduled.
