Basketball Recap: Laurel Comes Up Short

Laurel lost against St. Mark back in January of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Laurel Bulldogs fell 59-50 to the St. Mark's Spartans.

Laurel's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for St. Mark's, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-7.

The future could be bright for both Laurel and St. Mark's: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Laurel will try to hand Indian River their ninth-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, St. Mark's will look to extend Hodgson Vo-Tech's four-game losing streak when the meet at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
