Recap: Socorro Bulldogs vs. Pebble Hills Spartans

The Socorro Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pebble Hills. While losing is never fun, Socorro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 816th, while Pebble Hills is ranked 323rd).

Despite the loss, Socorro still got an impressive performance from Danny Delgado, who scored 16 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Esteban Erives, who scored seven points.

Socorro struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Socorro has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Pebble Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

Socorro will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Eastwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. As for Pebble Hills, they will head out on the road to square off against Montwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
