Football Recap: Sidney Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Billings Central Catholic + How To Watch

Sidney faced Billings Central Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Eagles were beaten by the Rams 52-14. The Eagles have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed eight in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Brody Keysor, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Billings Central Catholic had a senior duo take command as Howie Martin threw for 214 yards and three TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes and William Snell picked up 149 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Snell showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 50 yards. Billings Central Catholic also got a significant boost from Ayden Salter, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 86 yards.

Sidney's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Billings Central Catholic, their record is now 8-0.
