Woodward Academy strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers. This was payback for the War Eagles, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Woodward Academy easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-16.

Jade Williams paced Woodward Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Williams got some help from Marissa Jones and her 20 assists. Jones also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sydney Harrison, racking up two apiece.

Woodward Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, their loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-4-1.
