Baseball Game Preview: Diamond Bar Brahmas vs. Claremont Wolfpack

For the second straight game, Diamond Bar will face off against Claremont. The Brahmas will take on the Wolfpack at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Diamond Bar has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with five straight defeats, while Claremont will come in with three straight wins.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Diamond Bar's offense. They fell just short of Claremont by a score of 1-0 on Thursday.

For Claremont's part, not much got past Aaron Banfield, who gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Diamond Bar off the board. Banfield has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ramzey Farah, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Claremont hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive contests.

The victory got Claremont back to even at 12-12-1. As for Diamond Bar, their loss dropped their record down to 5-21.
