Football Recap: Lakeview Piles Up the Points Against Wayne

Lakeview won the last time they faced Wayne and things went their way on Friday too. The Vikings claimed a resounding 55-7 victory over the Blue Devils. Considering the Vikings have won five matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Brandon Deanda continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 150 yards and five TDs while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nash Henk, who gained 160 total yards and two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lakeview was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 298 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Lakeview didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Trevor Sloup and Will Janssen. Janssen got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win keeps Lakeview at an undefeated 6-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 43.8 points this season. As for Wayne, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
