Basketball Game Preview: Frisco Raccoons vs. Liberty Redhawks

The Frisco Raccoons will venture away from home to take on the Liberty Redhawks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Frisco is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Frisco ended up a good deal behind Memorial and lost 97-78. While losing is never fun, the Raccoons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 679th, while the Warriors are ranked 58th).

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Liberty beat Emerson 56-52 on Tuesday.

Liberty is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season. As for Frisco, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-22.

Frisco ended up a good deal behind Liberty when the teams last played back in January, losing 59-44. Can Frisco avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
