Basketball Recap: Ballinger Triumphs

With a playoff win on the line, Ballinger rose to the challenge on Friday. They skirted past the Wink Wildcats 35-32. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bearcats.

Wink lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aizlyn Dewberry, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 19 rebounds. Adelynn Thompson was another key player, going 5-for-7 on her way to 11 points and five boards.

Ballinger's win bumped their record up to 22-10. As for Wink, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-9.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Bearcats challenge the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Ballinger has insisted on making their last four contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 3-1 during that stretch of close contests. Wink does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
