Softball Recap: Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Triumphs

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Hayfield Vikings. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Brielle Dessner, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April. Brielle James also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in five consecutive matchups.
