Basketball Game Recap: New Life Academy Eagles vs. White Bear Lake Bears

New Life Academy and White Bear Lake squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but New Life Academy had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 79-61 to the White Bear Lake Bears, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 360th, while the Bears are ranked 132nd).

New Life Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. White Bear Lake is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-11 record this season.
