Recap: Boulder Panthers vs. Erie Tigers

The Boulder Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat. They took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Erie. Boulder was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Erie apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Cole Morrow and Kyle Blauch certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Morrow scored 27 points along with three steals, while Blauch dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Blauch has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last nine times he's played.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Erie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Callen Gebhardt, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Haan, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Boulder has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Erie, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Boulder will head out on the road to face off against Prairie View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Boulder is facing Prairie View at the right time seeing as Prairie View is stuck on a 11-game losing streak. As for Erie, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Monarch at 6:30 p.m. on February 9th. Monarch has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 638 points over their last nine contests.
