Volleyball Recap: North Stanly Find Success

North Stanly proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Rowdy Rebel Bulls: they've now won nine in a row.

North Stanly can attribute much of their success to Sammie Lowder, who had nine digs. Those nine digs gave Lowder a new career-high.

North Stanly was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in five consecutive contests.

North Stanly's win bumped their record up to 16-10. As for South Stanly, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.

North Stanly didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Gray Stone Day on the 15th. As for South Stanly, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Avery County on the 18th.
