The Valley Vista Monsoon will head out on the road to square off against the Cesar Chavez Champions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Valley Vista and seven for Cesar Chavez.
On Friday, Valley Vista ended up a good deal behind Westwood and lost 51-32. Even if the Monsoon couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Despite the loss, Valley Vista had strong showings from Damir Ilicic, who threw for 481 yards and five TDs while picking up 13.4 yards per attempt, and Joseph Watts-Diver, who gained 266 total yards and three touchdowns.
