Football Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Clinton was the 55-7 winner over East Bladen when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Dark Horses fell 26-20 to the Eagles on Friday. The Dark Horses' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Clinton lost, don't look at Aaron Cooper. Despite the final result, he rushed for 59 yards and one TD, and also caught one score.

Jaden Lewis produced another solid effort rushing for 194 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry for East Bladen. With that strong performance, Lewis is now averaging an impressive 107 rushing yards per game. Dashon Campbell was another key player, rushing for 108 yards and one TD.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for East Bladen, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Clinton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 37-36 victory against Whiteville on the 19th. As for East Bladen, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-28 win against West Columbus on the 19th.
