Basketball Game Preview: Paducah Dragons vs. Guthrie Jaguars

The Paducah Dragons will take on the Guthrie Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Paducah is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Paducah is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Spur on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Paducah was beaten by Spur 64-20. The Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-10.

Meanwhile, Guthrie unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Motley County by a score of 35-32. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Jaguars have suffered since February 2, 2024.

Paducah's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Guthrie, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-4.

Paducah skirted past Guthrie 33-31 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Paducah repeat their success, or does Guthrie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
