Basketball Recap: East Hardy Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

With a playoff win on the line, East Hardy rose to the challenge on Thursday. They strolled past the Clay-Battelle Cee-Bees with points to spare, taking the game 51-34. The Cougars have beaten the Cee-Bees the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cee-Bees has come to flipping the script.

Evan Hamilton was his usual excellent self, shooting 44% from the field on his way to 20 points and five steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Teets, who posted 14 points.

East Hardy pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points over those games. As for Clay-Battelle, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-7.

East Hardy has already played their next matchup, a 42-36 defeat against Tucker County on the 21st. Clay-Battelle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
