Basketball Recap: Baldwin Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Cooper Carr and Leo Schoenberger

Baldwin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 70-59 to the Bonner Springs Braves. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 57-55 to the Braves when the teams met back in February of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Baldwin had strong showings from Leo Schoenberger, who went 8-for-12 to rack up 21 points and six boards, and Cooper Carr, who shot 62% from the field en route to 22 points. Schoenberger's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Devyn Wadel, who posted nine points.

Baldwin's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Bonner Springs, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Baldwin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 69-61 victory against Eudora on the 6th. As for Bonner Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 80-28 win against Tonganoxie on the 6th.
