Baseball Recap: Amery Drops Season-High Score on Ellsworth

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Amery). They walked away with a 14-10 win over the Ellsworth Panthers on Tuesday. With that victory, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Noah Picht was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Morrissey, who went 1-for-5 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Amery always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Amery back to even at 5-5. As for Ellsworth, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ellsworth beat Amery by a score of 12-2 later that day.
