Basketball Recap: Gilmer Comes Up Short

Gilmer managed to keep up with Sulphur Springs until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Buckeyes were outmatched by the Wildcats and fell 66-36. The Buckeyes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.

Gilmer's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Sulphur Springs, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Gilmer will challenge Westwood at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sulphur Springs, they will take on Mineola in a tournament on Thursday.
