Basketball Game Preview: MOC-Floyd Valley Dutchmen vs. Okoboji Pioneers

The MOC-Floyd Valley Dutchmen will challenge the Okoboji Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. MOC-Floyd Valley is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

MOC-Floyd Valley might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 65-43 to Rock Valley, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Dutchmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Rockets are ranked 21st).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Okoboji). They came out on top against Sheldon by a score of 68-59 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pioneers.

Okoboji's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-17. As for MOC-Floyd Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Everything came up roses for MOC-Floyd Valley against Okoboji when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 71-32 victory. Will MOC-Floyd Valley repeat their success, or does Okoboji have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
