Presentation had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 7-15 to make it four. They came up short against the Valley Christian Warriors, falling 19-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 back in April.

As for Valley Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. Considering they have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For Valley Christian's part, Melody Gonzales tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave Gonzales a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Shyla Paredes was a standout: she fired off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Sia Marsh, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one stolen base.

Coming up, Presentation will welcome Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Valley Christian, they will square off against King's Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 2.4, the Knights 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
