Baseball Recap: Delta Takes a Loss

Delta and Grantsville squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Delta had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cowboys, falling 14-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rabbits of the 5-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2016.

Delta saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunt Robinson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Delta has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 17 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. As for Grantsville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-11.

While Delta had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
