Bridgeport had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lincoln Cougars a 7-0 shutout. Considering the Indians have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
