Basketball Game Preview: Purvis Tornadoes vs. Stone Tomcats

Purvis is 0-8 against Stone since December of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Tornadoes will head out to take on the Tomcats at 7:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Purvis came up short against Vancleave and fell 38-31.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Stone beat East Central 65-61 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tomcats.

Stone's victory bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Purvis, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.

Purvis lost to Stone on the road by a decisive 65-48 margin in their previous matchup two weeks ago. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Tomcats' Jabari Moye, who went 8-for-19 to rack up 25 points along with eight assists and three steals.
