Northview dropped down to 12-6 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Sullivan Golden Arrows by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Knights' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Sullivan, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games.

For Sullivan's part, not much got past Ty Hamilton, who gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Northview off the board. Hamilton has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sullivan's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Zollman, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Northview will venture away from home to face off against Terre Haute North Vigo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Sullivan, they are taking a road trip to take on Danville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
