Volleyball Recap: Plainfield South Comes Up Short

Plainfield South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Neuqua Valley Wildcats. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-22.

Plainfield South's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Neuqua Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Plainfield South will welcome Wheaton-Warrenville South at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Neuqua Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Lockport on the 12th.
