Volleyball Recap: Bellflower's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bellflower entered their tilt with Whittier Christian on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went their way against the Whittier Christian Heralds as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Buccaneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Heralds, too.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-13.

Johan Canedo paced Bellflower's offense, picking up 17 kills. Canedo got some help from Aydan Flores and his 36 assists. Geovanny Sanchez controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Bellflower's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Whittier Christian, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellflower will square off against Peninsula at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whittier Christian, they will challenge Ocean View at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
