Preview: Elkhorn North vs. Norris Titans
After three games on the road, Elkhorn North is heading back home. They will take on the Norris Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Elkhorn North strolled past York with points to spare, taking the game 64-48. Given Elkhorn North's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while York is ranked 73rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Norris has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell to Skutt Catholic 61-55. Norris has not had much luck with Skutt Catholic recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Elkhorn North's win bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Norris, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-4.
Elkhorn North beat Norris 47-37 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Elkhorn North repeat their success, or does Norris have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
