Basketball Recap: Leo Comes Up Short

Leo was the 53-48 winner over Homestead when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Leo Lions were beaten by the Homestead Spartans 80-40 on Saturday. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Leo and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Homestead, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Leo will venture away from home to challenge Fort Wayne Canterbury at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Leo is facing Fort Wayne Canterbury at the right time seeing as Fort Wayne Canterbury is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Homestead, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Wayne South Side at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
