Softball Recap: O'Neill Eagles vs. Ponca Indians        
        
		
             Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask O'Neill). Everything went their way against the Ponca Indians on Saturday as the O'Neill Eagles made off with  a  13-1 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Eagles with their most commanding win of the  season.
  Grace Drueke made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  strikeouts. She was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news, O'Neill got a  massive  performance out of  Dani Rowse, who  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI and two  runs. The dominant performance also gave  Rowse a new career-high in  batting average. Another player making a difference was  Loretta Scofield, who  went 2-for-3 with three  runs, a  triple, and two  RBI.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, O'Neill  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with ten  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ponca only tossed three.
 The  win  got O'Neill back to even at 9-9. As for Ponca, their loss was  their third straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 4-12.
 Coincidentally,  both  will both be playing Central City the next time they take the field. Ponca will head out to face Central City at 10:45  a.m.  on Saturday, while O'Neill will play them later in the day, at 9:00  a.m.
