Recap: Northwestern Eagles vs. Hardin-Central Bulldogs
After a string of four wins, the Northwestern Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost to Hardin-Central on the road by a decisive 36-21 margin. Northwestern was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hardin-Central apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
It was another big night for Libby Fifer, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds for Hardin-Central. Fifer has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Schachtele, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Hardin-Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season.
Northwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hardin-Central will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Richmond at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th.
