Volleyball Recap: Stanley County Takes a Loss

Stanley County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dupree Tigers. If the Buffalos were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Stanley County actually scored more points across those five sets (107-96), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 11-25, 25-23, 25-19, 17-15.

Stanley County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Dupree, their win ended a seven-match drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-14.

Looking ahead, Stanley County will host Kadoka at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dupree, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Miller on the 18th.
