Softball Recap: Galesburg-Augusta Comes Up Short

Galesburg-Augusta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-1 to the Pennfield Panthers. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 12-3 to the Panthers when the teams met back in April of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Galesburg-Augusta saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brianna Keene, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. Those hits were Keene's first of the season.

Galesburg-Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Pennfield, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Galesburg-Augusta will challenge Martin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pennfield, they will face off against Kalamazoo Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
