Oak Park is 1-9 against Moorpark since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eagles will challenge the Musketeers at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Oak Park lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Louisville, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Royals a 9-0 shutout on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
The result came thanks to Claire Broberg's shutout, as she gave up just seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Julia Katz, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Shaila Esparza, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double.
Moorpark not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3rd (when they won 17-4). They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Hart. The victory continues a trend for the Musketeers in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won four in a row.
The result came thanks to Kiley Finnerty's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks.
On the hitting side, Sydney Burckhard was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Rylie Cregut, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
Moorpark was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in six consecutive matchups.
Moorpark's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Oak Park, their record now sits at 10-12.
Oak Park might still be hurting after the 17-4 defeat they got from Moorpark when the teams last played on April 3rd. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
