Baseball Recap: Steinbrenner Starts off Right with Win over Tampa Bay Tech

Steinbrenner had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tampa Bay Tech Titans a 10-0 shutout. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Carson Krueger looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Chase Petker was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Steinbrenner wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-3 victory against Armwood on the 13th. As for Tampa Bay Tech, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-0 loss against Plant City on the 13th.
