On Tuesday Jaxon Baptist struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. The effort marked the most strikeouts Baptist has had since back in April of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fifth in a row with more than five strikeouts. For the year, he has an ERA of 3.25 over 23.7 innings pitched.
