Preview: Absarokee Huskies vs. Reed Point/Rapelje Renegades
Absarokee and Reed Point/Rapelje are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Absarokee Huskies will face off against the Reed Point/Rapelje Renegades at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Montana (Absarokee is ranked 158th, while Reed Point/Rapelje is ranked 163rd).
With a playoff game on the line, Absarokee rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top against the Rockets by a score of 43-35. The win was just what Absarokee needed coming off of a 61-41 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Reed Point/Rapelje's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 15th straight defeat. They were dealt a 66-24 loss at the hands of Plenty Coups.
Reed Point/Rapelje's defeat came about despite a quality game from Axel Blodgett, who scored seven points along with 21 rebounds.
Absarokee's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Reed Point/Rapelje, their loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-15.
Absarokee was able to grind out a solid win over Reed Point/Rapelje in their previous matchup last Saturday, winning 43-32. Does Absarokee have another victory up their sleeve, or will Reed Point/Rapelje turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
